The Constitution of the Chai Biscuit Association

Preamble
We, the members of the Chai Biscuit Association, in order to uphold the highest standards of chai and biscuit enjoyment, to foster unity among dunkers and sippers, to promote responsible dunking, and to ensure that every member receives their fair share of cream biscuits, do hereby adopt this Constitution.
Article I — Name & Purpose
1.1 Name
The organisation shall be known as the Chai Biscuit Association, hereinafter referred to as the "Association" or the "CBA".
1.2 Purpose
The purposes of the Association are:
- To uphold the highest standards of chai and biscuit enjoyment.
- To foster unity among dunkers, sippers, and biscuit enthusiasts.
- To promote responsible dunking practices.
- To ensure every member receives their fair share of cream biscuits.
Article II — Membership
2.1 Eligibility
Membership is open to any individual who shares the values of the Association and agrees to abide by this Constitution.
2.2 Rights
Every member shall be entitled to:
- Participate in Association gatherings and programmes.
- Receive communications from the Association.
- Vote in Association elections, where eligible.
- Receive their fair share of cream biscuits.
2.3 Obligations
Every member shall uphold the values of the Association, treat fellow members with courtesy, and dunk responsibly.
Article III — Values
The Association is guided by the following values:
- Unity. Bringing dunkers and sippers together.
- Responsible Dunking. Because every biscuit deserves a fair chance.
- Biscuit Equality. Every member deserves their fair share of cream biscuits.
- Chai Excellence. Maintaining the highest standards of chai enjoyment.
Article IV — Governance
4.1 Office Bearers
The Association shall be governed by office bearers elected in accordance with Article V. The office bearers shall include a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and such other positions as the Association may determine.
4.2 Committee
The Association may constitute committees to carry out its activities. Committee members shall be appointed by the office bearers.
4.3 Meetings
The Association shall hold general meetings at such times and places as the office bearers may determine.
Article V — Elections
5.1 Frequency
Elections for office bearers shall be held at such intervals as the Association may determine.
5.2 Eligibility to Vote
Members in good standing shall be eligible to vote in Association elections.
5.3 Conduct
Elections shall be conducted by a Returning Officer appointed by the office bearers. The Returning Officer shall ensure that elections are free, fair, and transparent.
Article VI — Amendments
This Constitution may be amended by a resolution passed by the members in accordance with such procedure as the Association may determine.
Article VII — Dissolution
In the event of dissolution of the Association, its assets shall be disposed of in accordance with the decision of the members, provided that any remaining biscuits are shared fairly.
